Modular contactors are mainly used for AC 50HZ (or 60HZ), the rated working voltage is up to 660V, and the rated working current is 300A when the rated working voltage is 380V under the AC-3 use category. It can make and break circuits, and can be combined with suitable thermal overload relays or electronic protection devices to form electromagnetic starters, which may be overloaded by protective operation.
These devices are designed to be mounted on DIN rails with the low voltage product portfolio. Modular contactors provide safe switching and control for different applications, as well as protection against overvoltage and current peaks. In addition, they can provide cost-effective solutions.
Modular contactors operate the same as power contactors.
1- The coil of the modular contactor is energized.
2- The main contact changes position. (from NO to NC or NC to NO)
3- Electric energy is transferred from the supply side to the load
The power contactor hums during switching. You can hear this disturbing sound even when the cabinet door is closed. Modular contactors ensure silent operation. Therefore it is also called a silent contactor. This is the most important feature that differentiates modular contactors from power contactors.
Modular contactors are preferred in indoor applications due to their silent operation. It meets the needs of applications such as hotels and residential buildings. Typically used to control lighting loads. Also used for small fans, pumps, elevators, heater switches.
Modular contactors play an important role in enabling a wide range of applications such as load shedding circuits, card reader access control in apartments and hotels. Thanks to them, complete shutdown of the entire power supply or a single circuit when leaving
facilities can be achieved
Werlaho Modular Contactors can be used in industrial, commercial, or agricultural settings. They are also common in homes and hospitals. Most often, modular contactors are used to control lights, air conditioning, heating pumps, and the like. Our modular contactors have a current rating of 100A and come with support for DIN mounting. You can easily install them into your electrical panel.
